Timeshift came out yesterday, but haven't seen any reviews or comments on it? Demo seemed fun, although I had a little trouble with the controls, and keeping up with the pace of the action.
Anyone get the full retail game yet, and what do you think?

The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Nope, the demo was very bad in my opinion. The game looked like last gen graphics and the gameplay was bad.
Reviews so far agree with me.

i thought the demo was awful... well next to the big names anyway
-
Thought the demo was so-so; the time thing seemed like a gimmick to help sell a pretty average FPS.
-
I felt the same way. Played for half hour, haven't gone back to it since.
-
The demo was really fun IMO. Graphics wise, it's far better looking than bioshock, and most other games. Even beats out Gears of war in graphics.
What's hard about the controls? F slows time, G stops time, X steals their gun, Q chucks a nade, and WASD walks... what's hard about that? -
You're probably half my age, that's what's hard about it...
-
Basically, it's FEAR with pause and rewind ability in addition the the slow-mo.
Graphics look like FEAR, but takes FOREVER to load them up. Seriously, it shouldn't take 5 minutes to START the game, then ANOTHER 5 to actually start playing.
And in my case, kept getting random blue walls/floors from texture problems, even when turning the texture and lighting options way down.
The physics are pretty much same as FEAR, also.
Demo was way too short for being just under a Gig download. I've already uninstalled it.
So it gets a big "Meh." from me.
I'll stick to Crysis. -
Not sure about your texture issues. I haven't noticed that myself. I'll probably pick this one up in the bargain bin as it seems fun, but with the average reviews, it's not worth $50. Probably when it's $20.

The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Better than bioshock and gears of war? WTF? The character models look like people from video games 10 years ago. They are blocky and oddly shaped.
-
Err..methinks you played the demo of an old version of timeshift which was scrapped!
-
We adopted this game at a LAN party on Saturday and it was an instant hit. The multiplayer aspect of this game is unbelievably fun. It seems like Saber spent more time fine-tuning the MP than they did working on the single player campaign (which gets a big "meh" from me, by the way).
-
how is multiplayer on it? i know a lot of games are flops single player, but a good multiplayer is what we all ultimately really want
-
>.> I didn't even play the demo, but I watched this and all I could think of was fear....
-
Not me!
Unless it's like BF2 or similar scale, I don't care to get in a fragfest with a bunch of 13 year olds. -
I installed it and.. it crashed when I tried playing. Updated drivers? Still crash. I installed the NEWEST ones that are specifically for Timeshift.. and I have to do a system restore because it thinks my graphics card is a 6100 instead of a 7600. I think I'll give it one more try

At first impact it seems a fear-clone but after playing entirely the demo and master the time commands i'll recommend this game that brings a little bit of orginality in fps shooters, specially the reverse time command is amazing to see the particles of walls and environments that can be damage in real time.Plus the game has a very light engine!it works on my daddy's pc that is a xp 2600 at 800x600 AA2X VSync(performance killer but hate tearing) ON HDR ON and was very smooth with all details high-medium!
A little con is that you are a god and a war machine,so you can stop enemies and kill them, slow them, make them walk back...so it's hard to stop you...
But i don't care if it's not next-gen or count how many polygons it has like someone...it's funny! more than doom 3 or quake 4 to do an example!
N.B.Tutorial and time map keys Sucks! remap the time commands with 3 near keys!
Timeshift anyone? Thoughts?
