If anyone has Klingon Academy, and a laptop with a geforce 8XXX series, and preferably XP, could you please install it and play it and report back how it works.
My current Inspiron E1705 (with geforce 7900gs) with XP plays this game great, and I'd like to see if it's still compatible with newer cards.
    I'd sure appreciate it. :)
    Thanks.

The 7900GS = the 8600M GT DDR 3 ...so that`s about what you should expect.
The 7900GS is still better at HIGH resolutions...but not by much.

Ok, that's not what I was asking. :)
KA has known compatibility issues with new drivers/hardware.
I'd just like someone with that setup to test it and see if it plays correctly or not. Because I'm thinking of upgrading or not, and this game I'd like to be able to continue playing.
    Thanks. :)

I see. Well, aside from compatibility issues, you should expect similar performance.
I would try it myself, but I have a 7th series card too.

That's good to hear. I only play it at 1280 max anyway, maybe 800 or 1024 with light AA. :)
