Well i have.
The thing is i cant stop buying games then they come out, no matter if i have time to play them(or afford them) or not.
I have so much games to PS3, 360 and Pc, that i could spend 10 years playing them, its like a sickness..
How about you?

Been there, done that. Not any more though.

Sounds like the OP is addicted to the thrill of a new purchase rather than the actual game time, what void are you trying to fill
-
-
really try to limit yourself. test a demo out and see the reviews before you buy. Ask yourself if you will have time to play it if you buy it. make sure you have free time to play another game.
-
if u need someone to offload some to then feel free to send em my way lol

I call it Poke-games...gotta have 'em all.
Fortunately, I can afford them because of Steam and bargain bins and working hard a long time ago in college and then the U.S. Navy.
And fortunately again, I'm unwilling to upgrade my m1710 because it runs everything from my Commodore 64 days through about a year ago. But it doesn't do the newer stuff (DX9 graphics card) so I'm not even tempted anymore.
Unfortunately, the 360 keeps me spending on Gamestop's Buy-2-Get-1-Free weekends. But I tend to actually play and finish those, or my son and I finish them.
I do play the PC games, too, but very schizophrenically. I'm in the middle of Arkham Asylum, end game of Borderlands, middle of Bioshock, middle of Mass Effect 2, end game of Magicka, and I'm tearing through an NBA 2007 (2008? I can't remember) season. -
I ended up selling all my Xbox 360 games actually. I just never played them any more. I still will play a Live Arcade game periodically, and have Kinect Adventures which is great fun. Other than that, I use it for streaming movies and shows.
I used to play games and stop them 10% in even if I was enjoying it, and buy something else. I just could never get myself to sit through a whole game. But I've gotten better over the years. I try to at least get through a game before buying or starting another. -
I got myself to finish dragon age 2 ._.
Crysis 2, pending to be finished. Shogun 2, untouched beyond the main screen :x
I buy games and don't play most of them ._. -
Git outta my BOWL!
-
Never. It's comfy here

Are you like Sandy Cheeks wearing a fishbowl?
-
No. I just drained away the water

^ You guys Hijacked the thread.

We're just trying to avoid playing and buying games...

well. could always look at older games.
...though man. how does freelancer of all things get fps drops sometimes. -
Freelancer! Yeah! I keep going back to that but never get very far. I gotta just stick with it. I like it, may actually run on my netbook, but not sure how well it'd fare with a touchpad.
-
Audi4ever it could be worse...I have been hooked on Chronic for the last 10 years, waste at least $200 per week. I thought computer gaming could be an answer, it has just lead to more wasting. Hope you have friends that will help you out of your abyss.
My friend once tried an intervention but we could not open the door on the phone booth. -

I've kinda learned to control myself but I messed up by buying Crysis 2, that is one game I should never have dropped $60 of my hard earned, allowance/college grant money on!

I'm definitely a sucker for sales on Steam and D2D. I really have 0 willpower when something is more than 75% off. However, I have been very good about playing and completing most of my games. I still have a dozen I need to finish before the Steam Summer Sale rolls around, but considering my average of 30-40 hours of gaming each week I am not too worried. What has me worried this week is the 30 days of sales on D2D. I already fell for the $6 MoH, but I completed the single player and put a few hours into the MP so I redeemed myself.

Buy PSP haha add another bunch of new games
woot.
3DS, and etc...
Arghhh it's addiction. -
Same problem here, had to quit using steam. I kept buying games because they were hugely discounted.
Got my PSP and walked into Gamestop to pick up "a used game or two" walked out with about 8 or so. LOL
PC i'm getting better, playing MMO's actually slowed my spending spree's. I'm in recovery, only relapse in the past couple months was Dead Space 2. I loved Dead Space 1 with a passion. I like games that can make me "jumpy" and while running through original Dead Space I had it happen. About 3 hours in, dark room and headphones turned up. I went to open a door in game and a box fell in my room, I instantly went "WHAT! Who's in my house!".
So you see I just HAD to buy Dead Space 2, yet it sits in its box -

same thing has happened to me... I think its better to buy less games, and enjoy them more...
-
I don't buy many games because the ones I play I take my time with. I have been playing GTA IV and the EFLC for over 2 years now and am 50% into both, but I hear some completed those in one sitting. I have a few Steam games that I have not played or that aren't even installed yet though.
-
Like mentioned, sometimes resisting a good sale is tough... especially when the games are good. That's why I have some pending games to play (NWN2, Amnesia, and a few indies), but hopefully there won't be any other good deal 'till mid-summer.
To much games to play?
