What's the deal with this game? Looks amazing. Just found it on YouTube. Never heard of it before!

Yeah, that trailer's been around for a while (note it's E3 2013, not E3 2014). Regardless, I'm excited. I think the game looks awesome.
-
No news of development? Just saw it on YouTube - had to share it. -
They had a new five-minute trailer for E3 2014:
And it sounds like it'll be released in 2015.Last edited by a moderator: May 12, 2015J.Dre likes this. -
Didn't even see that one. Thanks for sharing. Added to first post.
Definitely pumped for this one. Hopefully they put more time into it than Watch Dogs. -

ubisoft has in plan 3 major games for late 2014?far cry 4?the crew and asassins creed unity?...i expect at least one game to be delayed..i gues far cry 4 for spring 2015
-
This game will probably launch E3 2015. That's what I'd expect... It looks like Ubisoft is showing this game off the most, in particular, as it has been at two E3 events so far.
They're going to steal the spotlight with this game, if it's as good it appears to be, and doesn't have issues like Watch Dogs. -
How can we ever look at a pre-release game trailer, especially of a Ubisoft title, the same way again after what happened to Watch Dogs?!?
-
-
its from ubisoft, so we'll see. same with far cry 4.
-
Was a patch ever released by Ubisoft to address the stutters for pc users ?
-

^ yes there was but it's made pretty much zero difference. If anything the stutter is worse now than before the patch.

There's a Watch Dogs thread already, guys. Go complain there! -
does look good J.Dre, great find.

I've been waiting for this game since last year.. I really like the idea/concept of it and would buy it in a heartbeat..
-
I'd be willing to bet this game will be huge, too. As in, the size of the game (GB's). It looks like it has a lot of content.
-
I don't follow console games and only briefly noticed this when it first came out. -
-
im sure its gonna require dual titan-Z gpus in sli and a 16 core i12 processor and 64gb of ddr16 ram to run on medium low
-
Lol, that's funny.

Don't forget the antenna on your roof to catch lightening to keep all that running.

Any news about this game? Still excited for it.
-
Yeah this game looks the shniz. I've been eyeing it off since it demo'd at e3
The attention to detail is inspiring. BUT Ubisoft have already announced the released game won't have this level of fidelity shown in the demos. So again, prepare to return to Ubisoft's gimp-city to save face for the anemic consoles. -
The first time I looked at the still of the trailer I thought it was another sequel of Watchdogs. The game looks good, I think it's going to steal the spotlight once it's released.
-
I wonder how demanding it will be. Think the 780M will be able to handle it on Ultra? Might be worth while upgrading to Windows 8 for DirectX 11.2 (or 12.0) support.
This may be one of the few games I pre-order next year. -
I suspect it might be less demanding than Watchdogs, but not as much as it should be.
Although the Snowdrop engine is new so perhaps it will bring some efficiencies with it. -
I can't wait for this.. Watchdogs can get lost, this will be epic!!!

Their new graphics engine, known as "Snow Engine" or "Snow Drop Engine" is a seasonal graphics engine. The game takes place around the holiday season, and they wanted to launch it during the same time. Apparently this system allows for randomized seasonal changes for months of gameplay (snow build up, snow melting in the sun, etc.).
EDIT: It's going to be very cool.I wonder if huge piles of snow will cause major lags, especially with AA turned up. It probably will. Let's just hope NVIDIA launches some optimized driver support early on.

It's still in beta testing, at least at E3 it was. I believe it would take this long. The new graphics engine probably had some issues that needed to be addressed. This game has a lot of content. I'd rather them take longer than rush it.

Looks unreal. I've been following this game for some time now, but didn't realize it wouldn't be released until the last day of 2015. I'd rather wait for something epic like this though. They can take their time, as long as they deliver a great gaming experience.

We can only hope
Hopefully the console versions look stunning, but obviously, the PC versions have the hardware advantage.
-
Maybe they pushed back to 2015 in order to push units post holiday console sales push.. We all know most games especially multi centric ones have a window of higher sales, and there are houses that are not pleased with Xbox One at the moment who are pushing games out to wait for better attach rates..
-
I don't have a link to the video, but it was a good 30 minutes long, and it's on YouTube. It shouldn't be too difficult to find. -

Is anyone going to Gamescom? Apparently they're going to show another gameplay video (behind closed doors) to those who attend, and recording is not allowed. But, I'm sure someone will record it.
-
I am interested in the game as well.
But seriously when I saw "Ubisoft" at the beginning of the video, I was like "hmmm, lets wait and see how it runs on PC first." -
Games will always perform poorly on PC at launch, especially if they're targeted to consoles.
First of all, the driver is not going to be optimized for the game and the new graphics engine they use in this game - I can almost guarantee you that it will be problematic at launch because of this. Secondly, there are issues that present in computers of which do not present in consoles. These are usually fixed within a couple weeks through a patch.
So, yeah, while Ubisoft tends to release PC games with some performance issues in the beginning, it doesn't mean the game is going to suck. -

Ubisoft only cares about one thing. Hype. Hype the game to please their investors, dupe the sheep into buying, pay off the reviewers. And then wash their hands and start the hype train on the next installment. -
I actually think that the division will be worth it.. The game looks awesome.. I'm really going to get it when it comes out!
-
I won't deny that the trailer doesn't intrigue me and the trailer does look interesting. But I don't trust Ubisoft enough to make any statement about supporting them by purchasing the game.TBoneSan likes this. -
Will we see DX12 support?
