I'm with you on waiting but not for the same reason. Proper driver support from NVIDIA will be crucial. I'm sure "SnowDrop" will be one nasty performance killer.
It should support DX12. The developers seem to think so. Read more here.

Update! Game delayed until January 1st, 2016. Ubisoft wants a "winter release" to debut with their game, so that players can experience the new SnowDrop Engine they've so desperately been working toward debuting in this release.
http://www.pcgamer.com/tom-clancys-the-division-delayed-to-2016/
It's probably more like a "FrameDrop Engine."
-
Haha, knowing them that's almost a definite! Do you think quad sli titan xs are enough? Maybe I should buy those /s.
-
Boy, living in the northeast with all that real snow, and blizzard conditions can't wait for a game with fake snow for a January release.
If and when this game comes out, I will wait then wait some more. After the headache of far cry 4 and watch dogs I will wait. Ubisoft=no confidence . Did I mention I will wait.

I have to say, I just watched the gameplay video from E3. The graphics look fine, the game itself, however, looks boring. Not really impressed.

Comparison of E3 2013, 2014 and 2015:
-
At least Ubisoft is being somewhat more forthcoming about the downgrade this time: http://www.theguardian.com/technolo...ogs-yves-guillemot?CMP=twt_technology-gdntech

A fair comparison, in regards to visuals and performance, would be to play the same area again, not a new area each time. But it does look like they may have lowered settings to increase FPS. However, when I watch the videos separately, I can't tell the difference as much. Some quality must have been lost in that comparison video when he/she compiled it.
Still looks fun to me. I think they'll release some decent patches once launched as this is their biggest game.Last edited: Jul 16, 2015 -
I had the impression that first video is from 2013 gaming PC, last one is from modern console.
I just hope that PC version would have the possibility to crank up all the settings as long as hardware allows it. I also listened Jackfrags video and his experiences. Single-player/PVE areas and PVP area with better loot, I like the idea more than 24/7 gankfest
-
Just like Watch Dogs
-
I'm not sure why anyone is excited for this. If Ive learned anything, it's that hardly any developers care about the PC. I expect this to release broken, running at 15 fps and a season pass that costs more than a mortgage.

Sounds about right for Ubisoft

Shame it's been delayed... It's one of those on my really want to play list!
-
Of course it's been delayed, they are following the usual pattern. Announce a new game, show a video of it with great graphics, delay it for improvement and better performance. After the delay, release it with worse graphics, worse performance and missing features. Wait for someone in the community to make a patch so it looks like the first video you saw.HTWingNut likes this.

Seems there´s zero interest for this game on NBR, unless there´s a thread I couldn´t find.
Anywho, embargo for PC should be gone tomorrow so we´ll be able to see and read about that.
In case anyone is interested there´s a closed beta January 29-31. Prepurchase to get access or sign up at http://tomclancy-thedivision.ubi.com/game/en-US/beta/index.aspx There are probably keys being sold somewhere too.
There´s a fourpart series of short movies that I found pretty good:
Conspiracies
Ashes
Pursuit
Escape

Been too busy to scour the web looking for new details. The delays also put me off. Glad to see it back!

I should have Tomb Raider for the Xbox One delivered to my house.. Should be done with it by the time this game comes out and I'll grab it for PC!

It comes out next week. -
Thought it was coming out in March?

I think KK1 thought you meant Tomb Raider for PC, which is out next week, but assuming you meant you'd play Tomb Raider until Division comes out in March.killkenny1 likes this.

PC impressions are out, but gameplay is not allowed. From what I´ve seen and heard most seem to agree on the following regarding the PC version:
- It looks really good, though not quite as detailed as the older trailers.
- On a 980 Ti it runs fluidly, some noticed a few drops.
- There are enough graphic options to please Totalbiscuit.
- It supports three screens, either as Surround or to have the map on an extra screen etc.
- The UI is highly customizable. All UI elements can be resized, moved, made transparent and disabled.
Note: All gameplay below is from console:
This is a short description how skills, talents and perks work and how they interact with customizable gear:

killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
So wait, this game is PVE? If so, I might get it. Too bad it looks like a grind fest...
-
Yes there´s PvE, if you dont want to you don´t have to enter the Dark Zone where there´s PvP. But that´s also where the good loot is.
Main complaint I´ve seen is the bulletsponginess of enemies. Main defense for this is think Borderlands and not realistic shooter. -
Yes they are bullet sponges. There don't seem to be any body part hit boxes either.
Looks interesting but not sold yet.

Hope they will have a "free" weekend to try it out, like Siege had.
-
Well, you can always prepurchase it, that´ll secure a beta-key for next weekend. You have 14 days/2 game hours after release to refund it on Steam.
I´ve signed up for a key, if I don´t get one I might just do this. As many others I´m undecided too.
Edit: I´m generally not fund of prepurchases, but when they´re combined with beta (demo) and Steams refund policy it can be advantageous. -

Meh, I can live without Division. If there's gonna be a chance to try it out, I'll do it, but otherwise don't really bother about it to much. Have other games to play and buy.hmscott likes this. -
got into the pc beta so will see how it is when it's available
otherwise i am off tomb raiding! -

Sure hope the Beta is decent (performance wise).

Seems unlikely.

Yeah, it tried to load something very long after platform selection and then I got "server offline" message. Must be in a high demand or running on a potato.Ethrem likes this. -
Yeah I've been trying on both my phone and my laptop. Maybe its the universe telling me to get off my butt and pack the rest of my stuff so I'm not rushing on Saturday.

It's been doing that since last night. I'm just trying to play Far Cry 4 which I have previously registered, played then uninstalled during a system clean up. I tried playing last night after reinstalling and it asks me register my product again, which I can't do because it says there is a problem connecting the the server. Uplay is horrible.
-
Well it informed me on my phone that I'm registered so one of my attempts went through. It says I'll get an email from uPlay when it's ready. We will see lol.

Try to check your uplay game list, it might be already available to preload. I was able to preload the game before receiving the email from uplay.Ethrem likes this.

Nope not there yet.

Good to hear that you're in.
I tried to register for the second time. Well, I managed to go to the second screen, but after that, it told me about offline servers again
.
While it was loading I managed to disassemble my flight gear, make a dump, do the dishes, and make some tea, which I'm now drinking as I write this
.
Will try again in and hour or so.Ethrem likes this. -

Maybe we can all help the unemployed by paying them to sit around and hit refresh every 5 minutes until that little window of uplay functionality hits. Because a little window each day is all we get.
