any tips on how to get a driver newer than the one on there website to install.
I have tried using the Ati mobility modder but it fails every time on the 10.3 and the 10.4. any help would be great thanks.

hmm.... why are u modding them ??? I think someone found a workaround to get 10.3 to install on the laptops with the OEM restriction .... but im a 100% sure u don't need to mobility mod them

thanks i will need to try it out . i am running windows 7 64bit. what i ended up doing was getting the 9.1 driver and using mobility modder to install them. i then got the 10.4 drivers and dumped them into a folder and then adding the HW id for the card and then pointing the driver updater to the file and making windows take the 10.4 driver. not sure if its working but it shows it as 10.4 in the ati panel.

    on my set up

    Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P7350@ 2.0Ghz
    ATI® Mobility Radeon™ HD 4570
    4GB DDR2 800MHz memory

everything default on Windows 7 Prem 64bit

i get 4054 on the laptop lcd and 3613 on my ext monitor.
i find it strange that i get less on a ext monitor than on the built in display.

so the 4054 is a little better than i was getting on the old drivers i had.

BUT the Catalyst control center under information center show the Catalyst driver as 10.4 . thats kinda strange.
