I got an offer from a friend to buy a sealed toshiba sattelite a200th7 notebook for $1200CA. The notebook retails at futureshop for $1600CA + taxes, so I can already see this is a awesome deal. My questions is; is this notebook even worth it?
Core 2 duo 1.67ghz , 2gb 667mhz ram - exp 4gb , 250gb 4200rpm , ati hd 2600. I am looking to do alot of gaming , would the slow hard drive affect it? Also , how does the graphics card fare compared to others? I dont play at insane resolutions I usually stick with 1200x800 so would i be able to dish out max settings with most games? Please let me know

The hd would only affect loading times for the games. the hd 2600 is equal to the 8600m gt (IIRC). New games should play fine at that res, and alot of older ones will go higher than that at max.

    3dmarks were ~2800 at 1280x1024 , F.E.A.R played 30FPS 1024x768 max/max, GPU clocks were 500/400 with catalyst 7.8.

Slightly off topic, anyone know what the battery life of the a200 th7 is under normal*/battery` saving settings?

*normal - aero/sidebar/indexing on, balanced profile
`power saving - aero/sidebar/indexing off, power saving profile
