    Cool TM:N was a game I always install but usually never play but it takes up so little space I leave it there incase I want to play.

    Its a great game and some maps are alot of fun, but the people that play this game are realllly good and myself who I think is a natural in most games never stood a chance to get one of the top 3 places in most races no matter how perfect my run seemed.

    This new one with a 1 player mode could be alot of fun so I will have to try it out.

    If you are referring to Starforce copy protection issues, that should not be a problem as it's a free game with NO copy protection because it's um Free. :D

    it wont install for some reason if i double click the installation it opens at the bottem then closes and if i run as admin it just thinks for ages? anyone know why?

    oh, it's good, even better.
    it's more integrated with the web and tracks all your scores, rankings, gold medals (solo play).
    more environments - water, static objects, and my favorite "off-road dirt track"

    though more vehicle selections would be great, but it's free, no complaint there. (bunch mod skins should fix that)

    p.s. there's also an option for "3D Glasses" effect, that is if you have a 3D glasses.

    Is there any circuit racing or just the quick tracks? I like circuit racing because it gives you a chance to catch up. But this way, if you screw up once you're done for.

    There is circuit racing in single player its called "endurance" tracks so I am sure there are some online.

    Trackmania Nations was awesome, this one is even better! The dirt track are really tricky and I love the addition of the pre-made ghosts in the solo made.

    Does Trackmania Nations install Starforce? I read that only the steam version does not use any copy protection.

    Both, it's up to you to choose the input device you want. I prefer the gamepad because it allows for smoother corrections of path and I lose less speed. :cool:

    Nop starforce was installed only on the old Nations version... This one(Forever) don´t use any kind of protection... just free as a bird :D

    The game is a lot of fun. This is the first TrackMania game I have ever played. The game reminds me of Gripshift which I have for the Playstation 3.

    I tried the game online and I didn't have a real good connection. A weird anomaly I encountered was when I was driving down the middle of the road and my car went airborne like I hit something. :confused: It would happen at the same place every time so I had to learn to avoid that spot.

    THe difficulty is kinda off. Getting silver on all the tracks is pretty easy while getting gold on some of them is ridicously hard.

    I know its a free version, but I wish it had more levels than those in the arena (like those in TM unlimited.. ie. island, coast etc..). Still a nice free racer.

    Also, if you are sick'n tired of the default car, you can download and apply new car models/skins.

    Models and skins can be found at:

    Read the website's FAQ on how to install the mods.

    After you have selected your vehicle in the game "Profile" page, sometimes the game won't recognize your selection, when this happens, just go to "Paint!", then click on the save icon, that should do it.

    Yep, gotta say good game... enjoying it, was very suprised when i tried it after it went free on Steam. It's fairly simple, but freakin' addicting! Name on there is be77solo feel free to add me, and I'll be addin some of you guys.

    As a side note, another plus I found with it was that it runs on integrated GPU's fine, running it on a little tablet with a nvidia 6150. Kinda nice to work on some of the gold medals killing time when I'm away from my main rig, the X205 that sucks the living crap outta batteries ha!
