    Hello,

I currently have CS:Source in my desktop. I'm planning to get rid of my desktop. Would I be able to move my source files to my laptop. I have a Superlink so I can transfer any data I want. But is it possible to move my CS:source files to laptop and play it there rather than downloading source again.

    Thank you

yeah as i understand it the data is stored on the source servers itself that you own the game so as long as you sign in under your username you should be alright,

but dont like delete it off of you desktop until you've tried it on the laptop incase im wrong lol

startup steam > file > backup games > choose which ones you want and follow the rest of the instructions.

    I've done this numerous times.

Just install Steam first ( http://www.steampowered.com)

Then replace the folder SteamApps with your entire old one. Nothing else!
