Tribes 2 Free + Multiplayer Fix

They have basically fixed the multiplayer and im happy to report after a download and install it works perfectly

For all you bittorrent users.

The torrent includes both the game + patch to make it work online.

For you non bittorrent users the game and fix can be found below.

Install the game, followed by the update patch, lauch as normal from the start menu/dynamix/tribes 2 online create a account and get fragging.

The game does have a few known issues with wine and multi core systems, the multi core issues can be resolved by setting the game to run on 1 core.

 

Cool, I played the first Tribes game like... 10 years ago.

 

I was brought up on tribes 2, never played starsiege in all honesty.. then vengence came out and basically wrecked the series.

 

It wont allow me to create an account, server wont connect. Any place I can make an account online?

 

If you are running a third party firewall make sure its set to allow Tribes2.exe and SierraUp.exe to use the internet, same goes for your antivirus.

You also have to make sure you run the patch after installing the game, should be a file called TribesNext_rc1c.

Just checked mine connection and it seems fine.

 

It connected, got an account set up.

Haven't played Tribes in years. May fiddle around with it tonight when I get out of work. Can't really so no to a free online shooter.

 

Recommend you try the construction mod servers, quite good fun once you figure it all out.
