Hi,
I have a T60 advance dock, it only has room for a half length PCI Express card.
I am having trouble tracking down a 3d video card to fit.
Do they even make current gaming cards in a half length form factor or only 2d/dual head cards?
Thanks.

A regular desktop card? Yes you can get plenty of half height cards but they aren't very powerful. The best you'd get would be an X1600Pro or 8400GS...passable for gaming but definitely not good.

Half-height cards are merely to provide just enough GPU power to drive another monitor. I really doubt you'll get any power out of it.

The slot is full width, I need half Length.
Thanks though.
Maybe I could just cut the plate limiting the length out of the dock, bye bye warranty, but might work. -
Are you looking for a half-height card like this PowerColor 2400XT:

You would also need either the bracket here:

or these brackets here:

Or are you looking for the short length card like this Sapphire 2400Pro:

This particular Sapphire card is as short in length as one could make a PCIe x16 card. -

I had a wireless card I had to take Cutco scissors to for a micro ATX case, it still worked after cutting that metal shorter, but I didn't have to cut the plastic at all. I'd say do it cautiously

Oh, the plastic is too long to fit, but the metal side is fine... That is a tough one. You might even go for something in the form of USB to video

I'm in the market for a half-length graphics card also. 2 dvi outputs.
so far i've tried the pny vertigo geforce 8600 gt. Had to take off all brackets and even dvi outputs. Very, very close, but no fit.
