For example, when i try to play a 4:3 game, what it does is that my screen (1680x1050 native res) shows a 1280x800 res, but then stretches the game image into the 1280x800 box.
What can i do? Some games ive used custom resolution, for example Age of Mythology and CnC Tiberian Sun, and it plays as it should filling up the WHOLE screen at 1680x1050. With Deus Ex for example, it plays in 16x10, but the resolution doesnt go above the lowest widescreen resolution.
What can i do, thanks in advance. And yes, ive set the drivers to maintain aspect ratio
UPDATE: I think i know what the issue is, basically, when i go into the mode where both screens display the same image, it was a 4:3 image on my laptop which is then stretched to 16:10 on my PC, which is then stretched to 1280x800.
So now in this mode, i changed the resolution to 1280x800 and my laptop viewed a native 16:10 image, on my monitor however, instead of now just showing the image in 1280x800, but it extends it horizontally but not vertically. If it did do so vertically, then we wouldnt have a problem. Also, when i try to put notebook to keep aspect ratio, it obviously works and also in the games, but when i try to change the monitor, it stays Full Screen (no borders)
