I first started off trying to overclock my GPU using atiTool. However ati tool does not run for me. I try running it as administrator and I try running it in compatibility mode as well. Neither are working so I've given up on atiTool.

Now I'm trying to use AMD GPU Clock Tool and that installs and runs fine, however when I up the speeds and click "set clocks" the screen flashes for a second and then the clock speeds just go back to their original settings.

    What would you guys suggest?

I had similar props with my 3650, I fixed it by using http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php on Catalyst 8.5 http://downloads.guru3d.com/ATI-Catalyst-8.5-XP-(32-bit)-download-1930.html

Unpack the 8.5 DO NOT INSTALL IT YET cancel when it asks, then run the mobility modifier on the folder it extracted to then run the installer inside

But remember for it to work correctly if you already have a display adapter installed like a higher catalyst, uninstall it first, then restart your comp- Then run the installer, then restart your comp again

Alright it could be the driver version, I'll try that. I've already tried 9.2 and 8.12 so maybe I need to find the right one

Also... the catalyst drivers you posted a link for are for windows xp. I'm running vista32

Alright sweet I can overlcock it now. I changed to the CCC 8.5 drivers. Thanks for the tip! +rep! Also do you know where I can get a version of AtiTool that will work with vista32? I hear its one of the best ways to scan for artifacts. Is there another program I can use to scan for them as well? Some people recommend just using 3dmarks06 and watching for them, but others say that is a really inaccurate way to tell if you're safely running your card or not.

Note: I've tried AtiTool .26 and .27b2 and neither of them will start up for me after install.
