    Hello!!

I have just bought a new laptop with in INTEL X3100, CORE2DUO T8300, 2GB RAM.

However, it seems to be something weird. At lowest graphics, fps are decent (21 average), but at medium, sometimes i get up to 52 (most of the time) while sometimes, the game slows dramatically down (down to 3-4 fps) for around 10 seconds......

doesnt it seem weird?? laptop is new (not even 10 hours), updated drivers for IGP, and for everything else... running on XP.

    any ideas?

    thanks

Good luck. The X3100 is extremely crippled, and practically unable to produce good framerates on anything 2006+.

yeah, but with my laptop 8400gs i can play this game almost at max with over 60fps.... besides, lots of people reported being able to play this game with the X3100 at lowest without any issues... some even said at medium.

    the weird thing is that:

fps go from 50 to 3-4 without any real sense, because no graphics are added, nor more polygons or whatsoever.

    thanks.

I understand, but these are the problems the X3100 has been plagued with. Refer to the "X3100 Thread", I believe it's on page 2 now. Ask them, they will not better.

The thing with PES2008 is really weird.

Try enabling V-sync. That helps with the weird fluctuations.

In essence, the X3100 is not capable of running PES2008. It's very badly optimized.

unfortunately PES2008 is a rather demanding game!!, on my 7900gs with high settings and no v-sync i still experience some slow down especially when there it's raining, but otherwise it's running smooth, i suggest disabling the v-sync as it will give the fps a huge boost. however since you're also experiencing problems with PES6 the problem might have nothing to do with the GPU!, are you running any background programs?? like winamp, daemon tools or any other software?? as they might affect performance..

You won't be able to run PES2008 at 1280x800. You'll be lucky to run PES6 at 1280x800. So far, there is no fix. The X3100 is drowned in problems/bugs.

but the weird thing is that im running PES6 at lowest resolution & graphics, but still get noticeable drops in performance. Furthermore, the resolution cannot be changed from 600x4...

    any suggestions?
