Hello there, I want to buy a gaming lcd monitor for my laptop, I am thinking a viewsonic or a samsung. Unfortunately I have to turn on my laptop first and THEN press the power button on the monitor. I wish to hide my laptop somewhere. Is there anyway I can turn on the laptop externally? I dont want to open up the lid and then pressing the power button seeing as I am hiding the thing.

    Thanks a million!

i believe that there is a keyboard that will let you turn it on. but i think your bios has to support it.

Check your bios, I know some bios let you boot with the press of a key, or passcode...
