I have found a reason to keep my original Xbox...
Other than my premium component cables of course![]()
The thing is, even for games that are 720p, games are upped to 720p on xbox 360. Even for the 5-6 games that are 1080i on Xbox 1, the games on Xbox 360 look better.
But I have found two games that make the Xbox 1 worth keeping.
Syberia and Syberia 2.
Both 1080i games, both are 2d artworks.
WHICH MEANS... When output to 1080i (and Xbox 360 bc can't do that), it looks MARVELOUS. Simply amazing. A work of art. I was awestruck by it's beauty. And that is after playing Oblivion on my rig...
If you want a reason to keep Xbox 1, try out those two games if you have them.
BTW, the Xbox version of Syberia is far superior to pc version. it isn't mapped from 480i/480p to 720p/1080i, it was actually painted originally at 1080i and then shrunk down for the other resolutions.
All the artwork is kept on the disk.

Too bad that 720p > 1080i
Seriously though, the edge motion in all of the interlaced formats detract from any benefit of higher resolution that the human eye can observe. -
LOL
Interlacing in 1080i doesn't matter in a nonmoving screen.... And esp. a 2d hand painted game.
Syberia looks alot better in 1080i. -

The Xbox 360 can output 1080p which is better than 1080i.
1080i sucks. Give me 1080p and then we're talking. -
Or you could just play them on PC.

Xbox FTW!
Too bad my HDD died last year
Two excellent reasons to keep original Xbox!
