Anyone else got Two Worlds yet? My experience with it was... Meh. While graphics are nice (and less demanding than oblivion) I have a few major gripes with it (after about 40 min of gaming).
1)The dialogs and speech is REALLY sucky. It's like the programmers themselves wrote and recorded all the lines.
    2) The camera. It doesn't follow you around from behind, so if you go left it's still pointing straight ahead and you have to manually move the camera (the mouse controls it). I would have liked it better if you moved around with your mouse and the A and D in "WASD" was use for strafing
    3) The interface was just complicated. It's a bit hard to get what stuff does.
    4) It just feels... Meh. There are small stuff I find annoying and I just didn't feel like I wanted to play. When i started with Oblivion, it just sucked me in.

However, if you do get it, remember to update to version 1.4. Compared to 1.0, the performance is very improved. I could max it out at 1440x900 (no OC). I even added 8xAF in my drivers (looked much nicer). There were stutters here and there, but when I revert to better drivers which lets me OC, those will/would be overcome. I could post screenies if anyon want them.

I haven't played it yet, but apparently the NA version is supposed to be slightly different, outside of just coming at version 1.4 from stock. It's not out here in the US till Aug 14th if i remember correctly.

It looks pretty cool from the screens I saw of it already. Fabarati, you think you could post some in-game shots of it? Thanks!

Here are some screenies. These are all on max settings ingame (including 4xAA) with added 8xAF in the drivers, except for number 5. In number 5 i turned of AF to show how it looks without it.

As of now, i've barely played anything (like 37 min), so the only place I've been able

It's got nice graphics. At par with Oblivion. I'll post some screenshots later.

    @ fabarati

BTW, how do you take screenshots without having to use FRAPS? O_O

Anybody else looking forward to this?
Beat Oblivion with both a warrior and a mage, so looking forward to another one soon!
Here's hoping it will run well on my Inspiron 1520, T7300 and 8600GT and 2 gigs RAM.

Anyone else looking forward to this game? The one thing it has over Oblivion is that you can meet up with friends online and play the quests with friends, thats one thing I hope the next Elder Scrolls has.

Well, the goal of TES was to create a world in which you don't need others. It succeeds in that. But I wouldn't see it as a downside if they added multiplayer support.

I'm semi-looking forward to TW. I'll probably get it after a couple of months when the price goes down, if it has good ratings. If it has OK ratings I'll probably borrow a friend's disc.

    30km x (1 mi/1.609km) = about 18.5 miles.

    Its HUGE.

and although the game hasn't been released yet, the hype is still out there.

    I know i'm excited.

    To qoute my self:

It didn't sit right with me. It just wasn't immersive. I couldn't bring my self to play to see if it got better. But feedback from others say that it's merely a hack and slash.

If you like Oblivion and multiplayer, check out Vanguard Saga of Heroes. I know that initially it was super buggy, but now that it's been out for 6 months, I think it runs very well. Graphics are close to Oblivion AND it's an MMORPG. Only problem is you'll be soloing alot because there aren't alot of subscribers.

Actually I have played it now, and I have to say....something just isn't right with that game. The dialogue is terrible, though quite fuuny. The games looks nice, but you can barely control your custtomization, and your control in the game is a little bit odd. Mostly agree with the OP now.

Maybe the 1.5 US version is a lot different then the 1.4 german version my friend has. I hear its about a 800mb difference? Any news on that or did someone say already and I missed it?

And phios thanks, I'll have to try Vanguard again, I was in the beta(closed and open) and bought just in case it turned out to be awesome. It is like 20gbs though still isn't? Larger maybe heh.

Yes, over 20gb still... and the install takes forever. But, after the day long ordeal, I think it's worth it. They are doing a server merge soon, so that should increase world population... Most people that I've meet are actually super friendly and v. mature compared to some of the other MMORPGs. I guess that's what you get when you set the system specs so damn high that kids can't convince their parents to shell out the $500 for a new video card....

I doubt they'll redo the dialog. They'll need new voiceactors. And why pay new ones when you've already got the dialog?

As I know of so far, I think two worlds is also coming out on the 360. I just checked it, it is and its coming out this week. I would think they would redo the dialog with new actors if they are gonna impress US gamers

The dialog is bad for everyone, not just US-gamers. It doesn't impress any gamers at all. Unless they get a Multitude of complaints (like crash the servers bad) or they change them for the Xbox360 version, Us version will not change. The second option is actually feasable (I didn't there was going to be a 360 version).

Xbox 360 sounds exactly like your PC version gripes. It's extremely clunky. The dialog and story is TERRIBLE. The graphics are in some ways sharp (anti aliased), and well textured, BUT.. why is every NPC built like a pro football player with a tiny head? The shadows and plants are well done. It seems like a hybrid between the "oblivion feeling" "fable good/evil choice" "diablo sounds and backpack layout", some other odd aspects I can't pin down, and a really cheesy entrance song that sounds like a rip off of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" It's better than I expected..yet.. still disappointing.

I just wanted to vent one last time, now that I've played for several hours. It has been able to hold my attention, thus far, but this game is retarded. Case in point. 1. to do the main quest.. you must be a male warrior. WHAT.. yup.. no choice on that fellas. 2. online MMO play designated easy, features ghost creatures that CAN NOT be killed, and will follow you to the ends of the earth. I thought it was a good idea to haul it back to my village and let the locals handle it.. Now..they're all dead. How do I sell stuff? Like I said.. this game is dumb.. I'm about to toss it into a microwave

I would agree that it looks fun.. you should rent first, or try a demo. I could make a list a mile long why it sucks..but it has been "entertaining". Kinda like a pony on a stick. It gets boring after a while.

Two worlds looks significantly worse than oblivion, especially when oblivion has some basic graphics mods installed (like hi-res terrain for the distance)

I bought this game for $10 on Steam. I figured it would be worth at least $10. I was wrong.

This game is horrible. The Character models are so bad they are a distraction. The voice acting is bad too.

Why not play Oblivion though again or buy the Witcher.
