U agree COD4 is much much better than Crysis?

Well,
The hype was soooo huge that Crysis almost buried down new cool releases this year such as R6:vegas, & COD4... the first time i played COD4 on Xbox360 so i didnt notice it much..
But then i got to play it on 8800GTS...i played Crysis demo also on 8800GTS

Man ..i have to say.. the game really Pwnes Crysis big time..
from the moment u step on the field u feel engaged & feel the excitement which Crysis lacks even with the theme of Alien Invasion & the WORLD under attack.

other than the gameplay, COD4 gives better Framerates even on 7950's ...where Crysis stutters at 1024X760 Medium settings.


the Physics of COD4 maybe not be as Superior as Crysis but how Good is a Car which spends half of its life in the showroom? ...i mean Crysis is all that REALLY COOL graphics but when a gamer can't get his Comp to run it at Full settings then the USP (unique selling point) of the game Collapses.
Whereas the Weapons & their sounds are very accurate in COD4 & the graphics are close to Crysis.

R6 also got buried down under the weight of Crysis & it's a game i would prefer anyday over Crysis...


So Technically & Emotionally i feel COD4 deserves better attention...

And What do u think? Is Crysis really the game of the year?

 

Crysis is good, but they couldve done better with the game play and optimization, and IMHO, it is far off from game of the year.

 

the multiplayer in Crysis is more innovative than COD4... which is just another CS-clone.

Mainly the CS people love COD4 multiplayer.

I've played COD4 MP and tried the crysis MP beta and I like the gameplay in COD4 MP a lot better than the gameplay in the crysis MP beta. I got bored so fast in the crysis MP beta... >_<

 

I just like setting up mines and claymore traps in Crysis... and running people over with the hovercraft in Crysis MP beta.

And getting to buy a Tac Launcher or Tac Tank (both shoots nukes) is fun.

 

i don't think CoD 4 is overshadowed by Crysis. it's getting all the recognition that it deserves.

 

crysis is nothing but an eye candy...the AI in there is retarded...

Well i am a CS guy so i enjoyed COD4 ... how about R6 Vegas?..it heard its too difficult ?

 

GRAW is too difficult.

GRAW2 just plain sucks... so lets not talk about that.

 

what makes COD4 so good is that it has the ability to merge the realm of "arcade" and "tactical shooter" into one platform. If yo play Multiplayer, which I do, you more than likely take advantage of the plethora of HARDCORE servers that implement the use of the games built in harder online settings which make the game much more tactical and damn right brilliant. I for one am getting a little too old to play games online where it take a c4 plant and a clip of m16 to kill someone. I like cod4 because you can choose which avenue, run-n-gun or tactical and patience. Both land an exciting environment of gameplay. Also cod4 can almost be maxed out on an 8600 or 7900 series card. (it also looks BETTER than Crysis in many regards, except textures.

 

No not really(IMO). Most of the CS players I know hate the game.

 

COD4 is much better because:

-It is much better optimized, medium settings at native resolution on my computer which is two generations old. (25+fps)
-Lighting fast map loading
-Nice graphics
-Plenty of guns
-Perks are innovative
-Shoot through materials
-Awesome campaign mode (short but excellent, best I have ever played in an FPS IMO.)

 

so what game should i get since crysis ssucks and i hav COD4...

 

My two cents: I don't have them, but have played both demos. COD4 simply captivated me, the setting and the continuous action were just right. On the other hand is Crysis, not bad, but no very innovative in my opinion (once you discover that the armor modes are designed for very specific situations).
