Anyone one else getting this? I'm running on 1440x900 with 163.44 drivers and changing details from 2-5 doesn't seem to make a difference in performance. I'm getting around 15-20 fps. My G15 keyboard shows both cores running at 100% which I'm starting to think is the problem. I also made sure that my power scheme is on high performance.

You think applications would run better if they got less CPU time? I'm curious how that'd work.

I've heard people saying that UT3 demo is only pack with medium/low or medium settings only(Unsure, but i fairly sure its within this two) to minimize the demo setup file as you can see from the installer file which is only 700+ mb.

Depends on how you mean it. Since the gpu is usually the weak link in games, and the cpu has lots of power left over doing nothing. If you can offload some of that to the cpu and give less load the gpu its a good thing.

The catch to that is if the cpu is being killed and there is not enough resouces left to run the gpu you have a big problem and the cpu becomes the bottleneck instead of the gpu.

If you overclock your cpu and find your fps goes up you know the cpu was holding you back, if you overclock the gpu and they go up you know the cpu is ok and the gpu is still whats holding you back.

However on a notebook you probably can only do the latter.
