I have a nvidia 7700 w/ 512meg memory, OCed and newest (196.21) drivers and it runs great for most games.

The problem is when I try to play UT3 demo on the lowest settings and lowest res it isn't playable. Every 5 seconds there is a huge framerate lag that almost comes to a stop. I was reading on these forums that the 7150 could run it smoothly low.

Im a little confused. Any ideas?

Try the 168 or 169 drivers instead and that may change the performance

I use XP, and sry mistyped, I use 169.21

    EDIT:
It seems that this chop that i get every few seconds occurs no matter what as long as I am in the game. Be it the main menu or in-game, or even alt+tabbed. Other than that spike ever few seconds that game runs very smooth.

And This game run 10x better on my old 6600 with same version drivers. Im really confused.

Weird, my un-overclocked 7700 using default g1p factory drivers runs it fine and virtually skip less (occasionally skip in packed areas). Also am running winxp pro if that helps any.
