I won a never settle promo code from Hime contest and it has been a complete theasco with ubisoft (Thanks Hime). If anyone else has this problem, here's the runaround you're going to get.
First, it takes them 4.5 days from placing the order to acknowledgment (i.e. getting the email and having the order show up online). Other winners got their email in 15 minutes.
Then come launch day, no email for d/l link nor does any show up on the "order details page".
It's a freebie after all, I'm trying to show some patience in case they're trying to time some server d/l use and I call ubi the next day.
They tell me (along with a preemptive recorded message) that Digital River does their Ubishop service and they don't have direct control. That's right, no control over their own products distribution, which means no control for their customer.
The ubi rep said he would send an "escalated" email to DR (that word doesn't even have meaning anymore as everyone uses it for whatever reason just to make ppl think something is important). He tells me that it is happening to others as well and mentions the AC3 problems are also creating issues, go figure.
I wait 2 more days (this morning) and call ubishop again, they are fully aware of my ticket, but have nothing new to tell me as DR hasn't given them any info to the problem.
I asked since ubi has no control over their product, whom do I call at DR to find out how long this crap is going to go on. DR initially wanted to push me back to ubishop saying that is where the product customer service is (the ubi rep warned me this would happen, but ask for supervisor). I got a supervisor and it seemed like she might be doing something, but NO, just came back with the same ubi does the support crap. Of course, ubi just shakes it's head and blames DR.
So, Ubisoft doesn't control their product and has no ability to get it into it's customers hands as they are at the mercy of DR service. Sorry Ubi, DR service completely reflects on you, if you aren't going to host and control your own product, certainly makes me wonder why you even need a game launcher or even a shop. Just stick with proven services and forget all the extra stuff you want to impose on your customers.
At this point I don't care if the link ever shows up. Ubi is so so dead to me.

Sorry to hear about all the BS with ubi; it honestly doesn't surprise me considering their track record for shady/ridiculous business practices in the past. And uplay is garbage, I shouldn't have to load that crap on my pc on my pc for a game I bought on Steam. It's a shame too, there is quite a bit of fun to be had in FC3 -
I have the exact same problem, have a ticket opened at ubishop since december 6, still no answer... I won't call them, I don't want to lose more time with them, I'll just wait for a sale on steam I guess.

Ubisoft had always been dead for Baka since a year or two ago

There really doesn't seem to be a good reason from a customers standpoint that ubi has a shop. No control over it's digital distribution and no reason for a game launcher. From the business standpoint, it's maximizing profits and the ability to advertise on your pc every time you launch a ubi game.
Really wanted to play this game, but the fact that the link is still not provided to date and a supervisor at ubishop is unable to do anything like cancel this order and issue a new one for an instant link, has just taken them off the buy/play list again. -
If you genuinely don't want the game, may I have it?

- DX11 + Fullscreen = Crash to Desk about 5 minutes of play EVERY time.
- DX11 = HUGE black squares. Annoying, very annoying.
- Visually the game has the same style, the same vibrance, the same textures, trees, palms, water as Far Cry 1! It just has more lens flare and more foliage now. Once again Ubisoft proves to me they are incapable of making a truly great looking PC game. It's good enough for 360, but not my for my rig. It's sub-par.
- The amount of **it on the screen from all the quests, and maps is atrocious. Whoever designed the interface/UI for this game is a moron. -

2- God I hate those freaking shadow box glitches. It happens with all Enduro laptops when playing FC3.
3- It has the same style as FC1 because it's set on a tropical island. Ubi got a lot of complaints for the brown and dreary environments in FC2. Aside from it looking like FC1, I disagree. This is one of the best looking games ever made. Aside from a few bland textures on mountains and hills, the game is beautiful. Great art direction, gorgeous environments, awesome animation, wayyyyy better vegetation and details than Crysis... no wonder is super demanding. As for bloom, it's nowhere close to the bloom in The Witcher 2 or Himan: Absolution. I don't notice it at all.
4- The UI is ugly and overdone, fortunately Ubi is listening to the complaints and working on an option to disable the mini-map and all the other UI stuff.
If it weren't for the shadow glitches, FC3 would be my GOTY. Hell, it's probably still my GOTY. I've had more fun with it than any other game released this year (aside from Dark Souls, but that's a 2011 game.) -

Ubishop customer service is trying I suppose. I received an e' giving me a code for the FC3 DLC and a code for any ubishop game for free, however, still no FC3 game link or code. The e' states that there "was" a significant delay in receieving the game, actually there still is.
How is your order rookietwo?
Ubisoft and Digital River are complete Fail Far Cry 3!
