So basically.

Ubisoft is 30, and is giving 1 game away each month for free, old legendary games.

July delivers: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell.

I'm not using Uplay though, even if the games are free. I don't care. I can't stand that program.

Origin finally charges me in USD (at a discount because of my country no less) and shows me an english store. It took them many years, but it actually works in an acceptable manner now.

EA customer service is light years ahead of Valve. Any issues I've had with Origin were taken care of immediately over a live chat session, and I've even received discount codes on future purchases for my trouble.

I've actually been keeping up with this, and grabbed every game so far except September's. Funny, I was actually curious about the Crew, and I own all the other games that were good thus far.

Real life has absolutely taken over

 

A absolute GRAND GESTURE by Ubisoft this month of November: Far Cry® 3: Blood Dragon.

I am in awe and this is just absolutely bonkers... but it is true alright, Origin sucks, Uplay sucks a bit less and thankfully we have gotten to December: Assassin's Creed® III

IT IS REAL, absolutely insane. AC3 FOR FREE FOR EVERYONE. This is going to suck thousands of souls in the black hole of the AC universe, but I like it haha

 

Have to wait for Dec 7 to get Assassin's Creed III. But damn, awfully nice of them.

Hmmm, I already own a copy of ACIII on Steam. Still, might worth be gettin a Uplay only version of ACIII, cuz double DRM sucks!

Agree, it was the worst of the series in my book.

 

Sucks because it was really the only AC game I was ever interested in because of the setting. I'm glad I never shelled out money for it, and I don't even think I'd play it for free.

 

Exactly. It had some nice gameplay ideas and maps. Shame devs didn't put any thought into mission design. ACIII was also the game where devs started to push "look at me, I'm a famus person from the period" a bit too hard. Somehow in ACII it came a bit more natural.

AC3 is now open for taking.

EDIT: reddit and several other websites started announcing that AC3 is free from ubi30 and now their club link is unavailable.

It must be an intermittent problem, I didn't have trouble getting to the 30days page, clicked on the 14th day, and immediately was able to download the enabler, and then started Uplay up and installed the game. No problems logging in or getting access. That was about an hour after I read message #30 in this thread about the "problem".

Note: I did need to adjust uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger to allow to make it work, but I have to do that with everything the first time. I also reset the password on my Uplay account to start, maybe that helped?

Heads up, the 30 days calendar lets us jump ahead days to open things early

And, today I could open all the doors through the 21st door, so tomorrow we should be able to open the 22nd door => this and each day following will have free games re-offered in case you missed them the first time:

Wow, the 2nd chance to get the games through Door #22 is working right now

Available from December 15th through December 18th - kinda weird to make those the dates when the Calendar doors to open are the 22/23/24/25...and I only needed to open Door 22 to get the whole bundle, I haven't touched Doors 23/24/25

I can't get the "Badge" added, it keeps spinning on the U logo.

As I said before I had to whitelist their site(s) to allow Ublock Origin and Privacy Badger.

Did you try more than one browser, I used Chrome successfully, I usually use Firefox...

It just doesn't login, loads and loads as if it is trying to decipher the meaning of life using a pentium 4, powered by the sheer will and hope of hamsters.

Okay it worked, in a new browser.

I log in, see that for some reason the 19th is open and apparently the 300 games for 30 years have already been claimed.

What. It is not even the 19th yet, Also this calendar is built by monkeys for monkeys. Who the hell wants cocktails and gifs from Ubisoft and low resolution wallpapers. Ew.

 

That's just what it does when it tries to add my new "badge", maybe everyone found it again and it's a load spike.

At least right now anyone can get all the games offered over the last 7 months all at once, free, at least until Dec 15th.

I know Ubi giveaways stuff but that doesn't stop me from eyebrowing on how they gift something which was already gifted in their previous giveaway. Or for that matter, how they call 300 keys giveaway and bunch of trash to be called as 30 Days of Giveaway!
