Apparently you can use a wireless XBOX 360 controller with a pc. Also, I am told that Halo 2 is available and eventually Halo 3, although I am wondering if I could play these or any other games online and how I would go about doing that. Obviously I know nothing about pc gaming. Your help would be much appreciated!
    Thanks

    1. Not sure about the XBOX controller
    2. I have Halo: Combat Evolved for the PC and you can play online. The game has options for Internet or LAN play built in. You just go to the Multiplayer part of the game's main menu.

So you don't need to pay for the online play as you would Xbox Live?
    Also, what is Live Anywhere?
    Thanks

    1. Microsoft sells wired USB Xbox 360 controllers for the PC. They are identical to the Xbox 360 version except their wired end is terminated with a USB connector. I am not sure whether or not they offer a wireless variant.

    2. Halo 1 has been out for PC for years and is superior to the Xbox version. It has better graphics and keyboard and mouse controls. Halo 2 is out but it is one of those "Vista Only" games which MS has used to convince gamers to switch their OS's up to his new product. Both these versions offer more maps and online play. Halo 1 online play is free and I suspect the same for Halo 2. PC gamers haven't been convinced to pay subscriptions for much other than MMORPG's these days and let's hope it stays that way.

I'd encourage you to try out a keyboard and mouse setup before you sacrifice yourself to a clumsy controller. I can head shot 5 people before players with a controller have time to turn around and look up. True story.
