Check out this site. These are the best and the most unbiased benchmarks I ever seen.

Cleary, the 8600GT and 7600GT are at par with each other. Not much difference really.
Lets wait till the DirectX10 Benchmarks come out.

Nice, a comparison of the three latest generations of mid-high-range graphics card. Now if only someone would do that with mobile cards (and include HD 2600 XT)

I think the 8600 would fare well with DirectX 10 games. But right now I'm pretty happy coz they fare almost equally to my GPU.

I wouldnt say it is unbias... all the benchies are run with NO AA & NO AF... i doubt the result will be the same if some were ran..

What makes these benchmarks particularly unbiased?

And why is this of any interest? The mobile 8600 and 7600 are not the same as the desktop GPU:s, so stop comparing them.

.... No one is. I expressed a wish that they would do a comparison between different mobile GPUs. And sa_ill just thought it was a interesting read, as do I.

OK. First off- this is forum site where people have freedom to say whatever they want

Second, I think people who've just bought DX9 mid-range GPUs might feel up to date looking at the comparisons. I would give them hope that their GPUs are still 'in'.

so stop comparing them? LOL apparently there is something wrong with comparing two graphics cards now

and no one was comparing the mobile GPUs here anyways so stop mentioning them :p

and yeah this is a forum, they can compare/post comparisons if they like....

The only thing I meant was that the desktop GPUs have little in common with the notebook series, so I don't see why you were posting a comparison between desktop GPUs on a notebook forum.
Yeah, of course you can talk about anything you want, but I think you'll get a better response in the "Desktop Hardware" in this case.
    Cheers.

my bad about the desktop hardware thingy
as in difference b/w notebook and desktop GPUs, i know there is. But they follow a certain trend which can make u predict how they'll behave in notebooks.

Yeah, there are some similarities for sure, I get your point.
