Three times today i have tried to install G.O.W. Everything is o.k. until approx half way through decompressing files. At which point everything freezes and my only option is to shutdown/ restsrt. No errors are reported etc and the disc is unmarked. Any ideas?

Hard drive problem? Done a scandisk lately? How much free space do you have on your machine? What do you mean by "everything freezes"? The installer, or your whole machine to where you have to hard power it down? If the second case, it sounds like an overheating issue.

How long have you let it go (the 'frozen installer') before closing it? It may need up some time.

From the sounds of it, some files are corrupt on your CD or whatever your game source is.
