Hi i was just wondering if it was possible to underclock/undervolt (to save battery life) the Nvidia GPU GT230M?

Obviously underclocking in the bios wont work since HP locked it, but what about a soft alternative? I tried Rivatuner although it failed to recognise the card.

    Thankyou
    Regards

The GPU automatically downclocks and downvolts pretty effectively. The only way to further increase this amount would be flashing the BIOS or doing a hard pin mod (which I don't advise to those new to modding).

I too have been looking for ways to undervolt my i7-720. Anyone, having info on an undervolting tool which works on i7, please contribute...

Someone on the forum stated that Intel has prevented manual undervolting, though I'm sure given time, someone will find a way.
