I plan on underclocking my g105m 512mb gpu for battery life and less noise and heat. I want to know if underclocking gpu would damage it (like in OVERCLOCKING would burn or damage gpu).
    thanks in advance

Nvidia have a technology called PowerMizer.
PowerMizer is a technology that will downclock the GPU while you're not using it(no gaming).
And Max-Clocked the GPU while you're using it(gaming).
PowerMizer might not be active if you're using old driver. However, G105M is a new GPU though, the driver of it should be new(with PowerMizer technology).
If you're unsure, download the latest driver for your GPU model here(select your GPU model and OS), http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Downclocking the GPU won't damage it, but it won't make much difference in terms of battery life, heat, and noise. As DarkSilver stated, PowerMizer automatically downclocks your GPU so you don't need to worry about manually changing your clocks since it should already be lowered.

You're much better off undervolting the CPU and turning down screen brightness
