How do I turn off the underclocking on my e1505. I was horrified when I tried playing counter strike source for the first time. I got 10-15 fps with low-medium settings. Then I plugged in and found out that it can play the game fairly well. So how do I keep my high settings when unplugged?

Go to ATI's catalyst and play around with the settings. They have a setting that max's performance or battery, depending on what you are using at the time. You have ATI right?

u can disable undervolting ie speedstep through the bios by disabling it all together or you can go to your power settings and change it from laptop which clocks the processor down to 997mhz while on battery to desktop settings (which will kill your battery faster but will allow more performance ie. fps)

How do I do it from my desktop? I dont want to have to restart everytime I want to switch from power save to performance. Also... will this feature stop underclocking my GPU?

Don't disable SpeedStep - that's for your processor. As stated, most of the time it runs at 1GHz to save power. It will ramp up to maximum speed or somewhere in between if you are doing a more demanding app.
Re-install the Catalyst Control Center, and then open it and go to the PowerPlay tab. Set it to maximum performance when plugged in, and just leave it at default for when it goes on battery.
