I know that it has alot of benefits. But does it reduce the overall clock of your CPU? like...my CPU is clocked at 2.4Ghz. if i undervolt, will it be equivalent to a 2.2 or 2.0?

nope :) if you lower it too much however, you will get random BSODs and restarts

Basically you can almost guarantee that they will be attached since only high end models have a separate HSF (heatsink & fan) for the CPU and GPU. To check this, just look at the bottom of your laptop, are there 2 fan inputs? If there aren't well, it's safe to assume that your CPU and GPU share the same HSF.

If it's a 15-inch model, then it's a very safe bet that they are both connected. I will add that undervolting does not decrease your speed in anyway, be it clock speeds or actual performance.

I have my CPU undervolted to 0.975V at the highest setting, dropped the load temp by about 10C, and added ~15 minutes of battery life. Not bad at all for something that's pretty much free.
