Does anyone know which file CoD4 saves any single player game saves into? I looked on the internet, but I couldn't find anything.

you should just have to backup the Players folder in the installation directory, but i'd wait to see what others say, just in case.

Ya, I would like the above poster said, poke around in the installation folder and save your player profile, save points, etc.

There's no "Players" folder in my installation directory. The only folders are Docs, main, miles, Mods, and zone. What's the name and type of the save file?

Also double check to see if there is a Saved Game folder or something contained in My Documents or Documents & Settings. Some games create a folder there during the install.

Nevermind guys, I found it. I had to disable hidden folders to get the players/profile directory.

That's one of the very first things I do upon install of an OS...otherwise it can cause a myriad of *confusing* moments =P
