Does anyone have this and a 256MB X1600? I've seen the game, I liked the way it looked and played, but I don't have a copy. I'm thinking of picking it up.

Yes, I know it is a little older...but I liked it.

I have run it maxed out on my Go7400 at native res without any problems whatsoever. It will run great on any remotely modern card, including the X200 and Go6150, it's a very friendly engine and did not really use any fancy shaders at the time, even though it still looked fantastic.

I used to run it at high settings with my Geforce 4Mx, and it can run on really old hardware such as TNT2 class cards, original Geforce 256 and even SiS integrated graphics..!

same here. runs all at max settings on a go7400, which is much inferior to the x1600.

UT2004 used an optimized engine over UT2003 and I believe it only uses DX8.1 max and is compatible with DX7. Pretty much anything including the GMA 950 can run it.

What resolution do you think a X1600 could run at with all other settings maxed? 1680x1050? 1920x1200?

Well, I run it on my Mac at it's maximum 1440x900 with max settings. This is in OS X using the OpenGL path. The DirectX path might be a bit faster. I don't think you'll have problems at 1680x1050. 1920x1200 might have occasional stutters with everything max, since that's a lot of pixels to push on a mid-range GPU, even in an older game.

Isn't there a new unreal tournament coming out this 2007???

And I have another question, is UnrealTournament a FPS? Campaign/story mode on it (something like halo)?

Unreal Tournament 3 (formerly UT2007) will be out early Fall 2007.

It will dominate as the next gen FPS. The Unreal Engine 3 will be used in the newest games as well, like Gears of War, Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, etc...

UE3 is the savior of next-gen games.

I've run it on my Go7400 at maxed out settings at 1280x800 - nice and steady 60-100fps count, can easily see that being still playable at even 1920x1200, so I'd say whatever your native res is, it's not going to be a problem....
