Hi!![]()
I installed Unreal Tournament 2004 again on my notebook (specifications in my sig), and it runs awesome, with everything on highest, and on 16X AA (you have to do that in nVidia CP, right?).
Although, now I just play Instant Action, rather than the tournament, again. I wanted to unlock the 3 characters, and is there any way to do this?
I searched for it, and I found many results, which asked me to edit the user.ini file.
By default it should be this in the user.ini -
The problem is, there is no [GUI2K4.UT2k4MainPage] in my user.ini.There is one more way to do it (the cheat), by editing another file, but that is discouraged by everysite that lists the method.
What am I doing wrong, and what should I do? I don't want to end the whole tournament again.
Thank you!![]()

its there in User.ini
you might have to start a single player campaign first to have that tag appear... or you can add it in.

I checked again, it is not in my user.ini. I had already started the Single Player campaign. I now put these lines in my user.ini (again), to no avail. Can you upload your user.ini here? I'll change my setting again. If you can't, then I'll uninstall the game, and re-install it. You can remove all the server info you have there because I don't play online.
Thank you! -

Thank you!
They're unlocked now!
However, you ini file did not have them unlocked, like in your screenshot. I replaced my ini file with yours, and they were still not visible. So I checked the ini file, and then filled the characters' names there, and now, they're playable with! -
thats good, I havent check on that install of UT2004... which was on my desktop originally when I uploaded it last night.
the UT2004 in my notebook has character all unlocked.
