Any gamers that happen to know how to get fullscreen with Unreal tournament 2004? I tried the option "Fullscreen" in "settings", i tried lowering my resolution of my desktop to the same as ingame 1024x768. I tried using the "enable compatible mode Windows XP service pack 3".
I cant find any information on the internet either. Im using Steam with Windows 7.

Can anyone please help me :)

When you say the game isn't full screen, does that mean it's 1) running windowed mode or 2) running pixel-per-pixel with a black border around the game video?

In case 1 it is likely that Windows 7 is preventing the game from modifying its own ut2004.ini configuration file. You need to give ut2004.exe administrative rights or allow it to run in XP mode. It needs read/write access to ut2004.ini to save any configuration changes. It is also possible you have some extra command line parameters in your Steam launch command. Things like -nogamma are command line parameters you might want to remove. Simply go to the Steam games list, right click on UT2004, and select properties (I think) to see what the command line looks like. In an extreme situation it may be necessary to manually edit the ut2004.ini file to force the game to run in a particular mode. I don't have the file in front of me so I cannot currently say what to change.

Case 2 is caused by your graphics card not scaling the output of the game. This causes the black borders around the game video. You need to go to your video card's control panel and turn on automatic scaling. For Nvidia it means you have to go to the Nvidia control panel, select scaling options, and then let Nvidia automatically scale content. If this setting was incorrect then it would appear as "do not scale my display" or something similar.

Hmm, that's odd, I have UT2004 on Steam as well, and it runs just fine in full screen.

Dragon Myr brings up good points here. What exactly do you mean by "not full screen"?

AWESOME. I had the Case 2 with a black border around. Was looking EVERYWHERE on the internet but could not find a solution. But the scaling option on the Nvidia control panel fixed it.

Thank you so much :) :D

Well no, now im actually having more problems than before.
I tried using the Nvidia control panel and use the "Use Nvidia scaling" and when i apply it goes right back to "use my display built-in scaling". But the game itself have changed to fullscreen. BUT i cant do anything once im in. "Press fire to begin", i press the mouse button and nothing happens. Pictures are gone from the game. So to get out of the game i have to use "task manager", so something went wrong when i used the control panel from Nvidia.

    HALP :)

That sounds really weird. Have you tried giving ut2004.exe administrative rights? There are a number of configuration files it stores in its home directory. In Vista and 7 it's a big no-no to be modifying those because they're in the wrong place. The game doesn't know that though.

    Strange problem indeed.
Figured i should try reinstalling the game again to see if some files was corrupted or damaged. Works like a charm now
