I need to know what architecture they're built on before I care.

GT215-GT218, the latter being entry level. These cards should be ready soon, GT212 is another story.

A couple things I wanna know.

First off, when will these even become available in notebooks, or are they just paper releases like nvidias other gpus?

And secondly, do they come with GDDR5 memory modules or not? Otherwise its just another shrink+rebrand which is starting to me off. if ati had better compatibility i would've switched a long time ago.

I'm gonna bet paper releases and no GDDR5.
