    Updating Graphic Card Worth It?

    hey everyone, i have the dv6000t with the go 7400 graphic card. Usually i am getting between 50 to 70 fps with medium resolution in counterstrike source? should i update it? where do i go to update it? and is it worth it? I really appreciate your time thanks!

    50-70FPS is fine.

    My 7600GO gets 90-115 usually.

    you could try doing a windows automatic update... but if your video card drivers were released after css came out then they update probably wouldnt help you to much... bu ti get around the same as you so i would just leave your system how you have it now. if you really want to get more fps either turn down settings or try and oc it...

    You cannot upgrade the actual card, only the drivers. Some use forceware drivers. Check out the GPU guide for more information on cards and options.

    There is also a sticky at the top of this thread that goes over GPU driver upgrades if you are thinking of doing that.

    Do you have an Alienware or Dell, other than those 2 manufacturers, you can't upgrade your GPU in your laptop. You can upgrade to the latest drivers from Nvidia. Also, the 7600 should be capable of getting 100+ definitely. I got 115 on High with my X700.
