I was wondering if I should switch out vista for xp? I have both KOTOR games and Vista won't run them. I saw that those games didn't work for other people on vista. So should I change?

    Is that a real question?
    I mean...
You know that both KOTOR 1 and 2 doesn't work under vista.
    Thus:
    1) Live with it if you can stand not playing those two games.
    2) If you can't live without playing those two games, then simply downgrade to XP to be able to play those two games.

Why are you asking us what you should do o_O? This is personal preference more than anything else...

I'm surprised both kotor 1 and 2 don't work under Vista. Have you tried using the compatability mode?

People here became nervous when talking about vista...maybe cause they know it's a crap :p
Anyway i don't suggest to downgrade only for games, sure if you are a gamer you must downgrade to xp to have that 10% more framerates and retro compatibility to all old games...funny thing that even some new games had problem(es.soldier of fortune payback 1.0 don't work on vista)
Why don't you install xp in a partition and use it only for games?

Because then the Vista partition would be used for nothing. And keeping a partition you don't use is stupid.

I don't think we're on the same page. I personally am using Vista, but if I were to install XP, there really wouldn't be a reason for me to keep Vista. My point is: choose one or the other. I don't see a point in dual-booting Vista and XP as one can handle pretty much everything that the other can.

Because you can get either XP or Vista with the 1720, but not both. Having both costs a lot more money.
