    Hi all,
    I have a dell m1710 with 2gb ram, 512 7950gtx and 2.13 duo, and a poorly 100gb 5200 hard drive.
is there any safe ways to give it a boost?
Thank you in adavcne for all your time and effort responding.
    john
p.s. dell replaced the card 2 times in one year and gave me an upgrade to the 7950 from the 7900 by mistake. Also had to replace hinges, mother board and i got them to do the palm rests and under tray while they were at it. Great machine only a few glitches but they always come the next day to home or work and sort it out.

Change your harddrive to a 7200RPM model. Makes a HUGE difference, as well as the fresh install - always speeds things up!
