Are you making sure you are installing Windows 7 64 Bit drivers?

Just checking, I'm sure you covered this.

Go to Nvidia website to the downloads section, select the 8M series gpu and drivers for Win 7 x64.

Download and then try installing them.

If you tried installing x86 drivers on a x64 OS, then it's really not strange that it wouldn't want to recognize anything.

No, you need to go to the Sony website and download the drivers there. For some reason Sony requires their drivers, and standard nVidia drivers won't do. I couldn't find that particular model at Sony USA website. Where do you live? And double check the model number.

Plus, maybe ask in the Sony section of this website, as there are lots of experienced and helpful users there.

Edit: I just checked and it looks like a UK variant.

    Check out this here:

It looks like your model isn't eligilbe for a Windows 7 upgrade program so they don't officially support Windows 7 drivers, however Vista drivers may work. Welcome to Sony. This is why I avoid their products.

Standard Nvidia Drivers most likely won't work unless you use a modified .inf along wit it.
