I've recently experienced a software update that will not run on my 5 yr. old Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop.

I intend to upgrade the laptop in a few months, but in the meantime is there any way to upgrade the ATI Mobility Radeon X300? If so, what is recommended by the community, the industry, or you personally?

Thanks in advance for the help!

You used to be able to find the NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 on eBay, but if I recall correctly the reliability is not so good.

What is this software update what will not run on your laptop? Even an entry level notebook with an i3 CPU will blow your Inspiron 9300 right out of the water.

i'm pretty sure the ati card is soldered onto the motherboard, you would need a new motherboard and graphics card w/ heatsinks etc
