Well I got vista on this laptop, and I upgraded my graphics drivers, but it doesn't seem as if they are there, the normal Nvidia icon that is in the start bar isn't there. And when I am in one of my games (City of Villains noticably) there is no mouse cursor, everything else seems to work fine, and I can click on things, but I have no indication of where the mouse is.

Is there any common knowledge about this issue?

The gfx card is a 7900 GS.

    Dearest Abyss,

I've the same problem with CoV, and from another forum, I found the following:
Basically, that in windowed mode, the cursor shows up fine. The only catch is switching it to that mode with an invisible cursor, heh. I believe there's a way to do it via some .ini or .txt file, but, as they say, I don't think I'm "Uber" enough to do so.

Abyss, try playing that game under XP Compatibility mode.

Interesting thing happened right after I posted above. I logged onto CoV and attempted to change it to windowed mode. I alt-tabbed out to a small application (calculator) so I could see the cursor then alt-tab back in and know where it was. A couple alt-tabs later, the cursor remained in CoV. I played for two more hours, and the cursor remained throughout.

I'm not sure if I just got lucky or what... Good luck :)

Hmm yeah thanks well just for your info (and others)
if you use this as the target line

    "C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -compatiblecursors 1

for your COV/COH game then you'll have cursors fine.

    And thanks for the help.
