Dang thats a good price. I have to get the cpu at bestbuy cuz i have 200$ giftcard. The GPU and Motherboard are too expensive there so I figured I would get the cpu, psu and ram at bestbuy and the GPU and Motherboard on newegg

I recommend if you want to OC the CPU to get an aftermarket HSF. Something like the Cooler Master Hyper 210 or something might be good.

    Would 8gb be overkill?

With GPU, CPU, Mobo, PSU and RAM, it comes to a total of just a little over
$500. That was exactly around the max amount I wanted to spend. Thank you guys for all your help. Ill post pics and specs of my remade m8000n when its assembled. Can't wait!!!

I came upon this little dilema while I was reading the reviews of the xfx hd6870
    that I just bought,

Be forewarned that it does require a power supply with two PCI 6-pin power cables

What does this mean exactly? Does my MOBO or PSU meet these requirements?

It should work with a 650W. Most 650W comes with the said cable for that requirement.

My order from newegg has finally shipped out!!! Just a few more days and I'll b playing battlefield 3 on high settings!

I have another question, can I simply stick my old harddrive into the new mobo and reformatt it in the bios settings, or do I need to do it on the old computer?

So theoretically I wouldn't even have to reformatt it?
