I currently have the ati x1300 in my laptop and I've been given a x1400 by a friend who is replacing his computer, so I'm looking to fit it into my machine. I've found plenty of tutorials detailing how to actually install the card but none which describe how I remove the heat sink assembly from the x1300 to attach to the card. Can anyone offer any advice before I go gallivanting off into the unknown?

not much info there... if there are no screws i guess the heatsink could be attached to the card by some sticky thermal conductive tape - i had to pry off a chipset heatsink once to use it as ramsinksand it had sticky tape. if that's the case be very careful, it's tough
