Hey there,
I've got a Clevo x8100 model laptop with two ATI 5870m cards in crossfire, and I was wondering what my options would be as far as upgrading from that point. I know I'll need to find a card/cards that are compatible with the motherboard inside the laptop, as well as ensuring I have enough power and that heat won't be getting out of control. Is there anything else I should be aware of as I look around? Is there a database I could consult to see what my options are? Does anyone know, off the top of their head, if there's already been a "best thing you can fit in there" so far, or will cards released in the future continue to be compatible with my computer?
Improving the GPUs in my laptop is basically the last remaining upgrade I can make, so I want to really make it count! Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

The SLI and crossfire capable clevos as well as those with desktop chipsets have proven to have less issues with compatibility than their smaller models.
I would consider a single 7970m or 680m. However, I'd still try to be sure and get the type that works for most peoples Clevo notebooks like the p170hm, there are 2 types 1 of which doesn't work in many clevos (I think the same goes for the 680m) not sure on the specifics, you should browse the Clevo/Sager subforum.
