My m11x is on it's way as we speak and im going from an acer 1st gen netbook to this and i have no good games. I'm cruisin Amazon and was thinking about picking up some used games:
Slalker: shadow of chernobyl
F.E.A.R. 2
and just cause 2
the Question is, if i buy just cause 2 used will i be able to use the c.d. key and register it on steam?
-
Only if the previous owner didn't register it to their steam account and only if it's on this list of acceptable cd keys.
-
I wouldn't even bother buying used PC games. Certain games have certain install limits and you have no way of knowing whether or not they've been used up or not. This question would have been better asked in the gaming forums also.

Stalker will be fine, but why risk it? It is cheap on Steam, but the retail CD is not tied to Steam. Fear 2 and Just Cause 2 are both tied to Steam even if it is a retail cd, so it won't work if the previous owner has used it.

Stalker was just on sale for $10 for 2 of the games in the series. The Christmas Steam sales are only a few weeks away, I would just wait until then.
-
Yup. Wait for the Christmas sale. Each of those will go on sale for $10 or less.
Used games + steam registration
