I recently picked up an old joystick from a garage sale in the neighborhood. Its pretty good quality. Everything works and it has good reviews on amazon.

(somehow the buttons on top to add links and pics aren't working...)

And after playing a few missions of microsoft flight sim, I got really bored, especially the half hour-hour long missions.... I tried a fighter sim, but it wasn't that great either. So I'm here to ask for some advise on what kind of stuff I can do with it. Any suggestions are welcome other then sticking it up my butt.

Become a uber chopper/jet pilot whore in battle field 2 and everybody will hate you.

Flight Simulator is the only real use for one IMO too, I tried FSX and IFL-90 both potentially fun but only with the right setup (BIG screens, or surround monitor setup, and all that jazz so it feels like your really flying)

well i was about to suggest sticking it up your butt :p

i have one that i occasioanlly use for a flight sim..........il-2 springs to mind.......if you don't have a steering wheel you can use it to drive.....(never done it, but a mate does) other than that, not much..........you might be able to sell it and make a profit :D

That is a nice Joystick, the same one i have...

There really isnt much other than FSX, which i do agree, the half hour of flying in one direction and dropping cargo pods really isnt that exciting all the time...

    Reproduction.

Flight Sims, Fighter Sims, Tank Sims. Sims in general. There aren't enough arcade style fighter games out there, those were the best on a joystick.

I was going to start getting into Battlefield 2, but then there were rumers of 3, so I thought I should wait a bit as 2 is showing its age a little. I tried configuring it for COD4 but it doesn't seem to register. I though pulling the trigger to shoot would have been fun... As of right now I'm waiting to see if DMC4 is supporting it.
And suggestions to stick it up in the other hole next to the butt are also discouraged. lol.
