    Hey guys,

I am currently trying to decided between an ASUS z96J and a s96J. My dilema is that I want a high resolution, but I also want high FPS in games. I am planning on using my laptop for mobility while in college, ie. library+ classes, but also once I am back in my dorm, i want to hook up a 19" Viewsonic VP912b flat panel screeen to it, along w/ a mouse, keyboard and printer.

Would I be able to get the z96J and use the high resolution while in class, and then plug my monitor in w/ a native res of 1280 x 1024 and get the max fps while gaming?

    Thanks

Same here - I use an NEC MultiSync monitor (SXGA) as my primary, and my laptop's display is secondary.

I'm actually using a Samsung SyncMaster 215TW at home and just run the computer on the DVI. Works beautifully and games look great on it.
