    Hey guys!

I've just started oc'ing my laptop, have clocked desktop computers before but never a laptop.

Before the oc I got about 2500 points in 3dmark06 and terrible fps in most "new" games. < 30fps

Read alot of forum posts about oc'ing the 8600m GS and the results are incredible...
Just one problem... how far can I go? my temp default was about 75 degrees and doesn't rise more than a degree when I oc. I'm currently @ core: 750, shader: 1500 and mem: 850 without artifacts. I'd like to go further but... eh... dont want to bust my laptop :) Should I only worry about temp or can it break from the oc alone?

get +/-4000 points in 3dmark06 with oc... bet I could crack 5000 if I go over the top... ... ...seriously concerned for the computer though.

    Advice appreciated :)

Thats plenty imho. I havnt seen anyone push a 8600m GS that far.
Also the 8600m GS is one of the infamous "defective gpus" nvidia released so i'd be extra carefull.
Run ati-tools artifact scanner to make sure your oc is stable.

That said i add about as much to my 8400m GT when oc'ing :D +150core + 300 shader + 200 memory so as long as temps stay below 80C you should be ok; maybe invest in a laptop cooler ;)

Yeah, I've heard of those gpu's beeing recalled and everything, you got any idea what rev. that was? I'm running revision A2.

Screens from 3dmark coming up shortly, for some reason it said N/A when I went back to ORB.
