OK, so, whats wrong with this picture?

Its not obvious so I'll tell you.
065C is the device ID of the quadro FX 770m. But the BIOS, 62.94.3C.00.22 is that of a 9600m GT.

    How is this even possible?

    BIOS attached. Any advice appreciated.

Funny, I opened the bios with nibitor, it shows the device ID as 0649.

Try updating the system bios with that new card in there, I read that sometimes the vbios is shadowed into the system bios and that could be causing the problem.

Maybe the system had an FX 770m at some point.

Yep, thats what I thought. Its preventing me from installing drivers which is the weirdest part. I'll try making 065C specifically 0649 with the modded inf in a second.
Yes it did have an fx 770m in it right before I flashed it lol. I guess it could be some kind of a bad flash.

I believe the VBIOS is always 'shadowed' at bootup but maybe sometimes it doesn't reshadow it at every startup. Its definitely not embedded which is probably what you were thinking of.
This is a GX630. Do you know where I can find the latest BIOS?
    thanks
