    Hi.
I'm looking for a newer version of a VBios for the Nvidia Quadro FX 770M.
My version is 62.94.3B.00.06 but the newest version I know about is 62.94.7A.01.06.
Hoping someone has this newer version and can share it.

    Thanks.

Wow, those are some high clocks.

If you could find the 1700m VBIOS you might as well use that one ;)

I don't have that bios but you can probably get something from HP system BIOS update files from their website. I haven't tried it yet, nando4 knows more about the program to decompress HP bios.
Here is the link he gave me: How to > HP BIOS MiniPCI Fix- nc6000/others : Notebook BIOS and other problems - Page 11 - Wim's BIOS Page

PS, I see you are probably running this on the 8530w it was made for. But if you aren't, you can flash it to a 9600m or 9800m GT

Thanks for the reply. Yes I'm running it on a 8530w.
I wasn't able to find a BIOS for a 1700M at the HP site. At the Dell site I found a BIOS update for the M4400 which contains the VBIOS. But it's a exe file and I can not decompress it to gain the VBIOS. Do you have an idea?

AFAIK there is no 1700m VBIOS you will be able to use, sorry. The dell one will brick your card.
I do have a newer VBIOS for you though, I'm sure it on one of these 20 fx 770m cards I have

    Here, try this one http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/29076/MSI.9600MGT.512.080708.bin
Its for a 9600m GT which is the same card, the BIOS is about a month newer.

Thanks. I also realized that Nibitor 5.8 doesn't support the FX 1700M. So this could not be the option. I found 2 newer FX 770M VBIOS versions(Dell M400 and Fujitsu Celsius H270, both from 2009) by decompressing their BIOS files. Now my problem is, nvflash issues the error message that the boardid does not match. You know surely a circumvention for this. ;)

OH, yes yes I do but DO NOT use those BIOS!
You have to have an MXM 2.1 BIOS at least, seriously. The other ones really wont work.

What's wrong withe the other VBIOS. This from Fujitsu seems to me the same as mine from HP but newer. The Dell one has other timings, voltages and no temperature settings, so I discarded it. What's the mystery with MXM 2.1? How can I check it?

Oh, it seems the same does it?
Well its obviously not, NO it is NOT usable.
There is a reason nvflash does not let you flash across board IDs! The board ID of the fujitsu VBIOS is an E series, literally ALL nvidia cards are P series board ID. I've never even heard of the E series!

Seriously, don't do it, it will definitely make the card stop working and you may not be able to flash it back.
Why is it so important that you use a different VBIOS? the card is working, is it not?

The E series has the Board ID 9601, my FX 770M ID is 9613.

I wanted to be on the newest VBIOS for this card. I checked both VBIOS, the only difference I can see is in the performance table entries. I will keep the original HP VBIOS as I get 3DMark06 scores of about 6900 with it.
I think it's also impossible to flash the HP FX 770M with the MSI.9600MGT.512.080708.bin VBIOS, as the HP 8530W BIOS doesn't support it and the Board Ids also don't match.
Thank you for your time. :)

    Voilá.
    62.94.7A.01.06

Extracted from a HP 8530W's MXM card (HP part no. 502338-001).

EDIT: Fixes throttling and 30-second beeping in Acer Aspire 5720ZG.
