    Hi everyone,

I'm thinking about installing the VISTA SP1 , I'm just wondering if it's a worthwhile package. (like...how does it affect Gameplay in anyways etc)

ALSO, I applied lots of tweaks to my current VISTA (thanks to the people who posted regarding tweaks) and I wanna ask if installing SP1 resets everything back to default and I have to re-tweak everything? (eg. system start-up programmes...enabled/disabled functions....etc)

    thanks!

Is this some sort of Beta version nobody knows about?

yeah , I downloaded it from Microsoft just then....around 548mb...

    here's a discussion link on NBF: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=197027&highlight=vista+sp1

I think i've just downloaded the RC version....the full SP1 will probably have to wait a lil longer, but responses so far has been great (lower CPU usage, lower CPU temp (obviously), faster data transfer rate, better performance) even though there has been some issues involving people unable to install the package properly (blue screen....error msgs...etc)

anyone wanna report more ups and downs?

I´ve installed the SP1 RC, and the most important thing i noticed was a huge fall of the temperature of the CPU, from 50ºC to 40º while idle.
And the pc is something faster, but not "that" faster.

I think the official SP1 release will be sometime in February.
